Winter Program 2015

What could be better than enjoying 3 weeks in sunny Costa Rica or Panama during the winter?

ILISA offers you this possibility with a complete package that includes: Spanish classes, homestay and two weekend excursions.

In this intensive program, students will be enrolled in language classes from Monday-Friday for four hours per day plus multiple activities around the country. Classes will be determined by the student’s level of proficiency. Spanish classes are offered at all levels.

Students can participate in the program for 1, 2,3 or more weeks.

Winter program starting date for 2014/2015 Costa Rica and Panama:

December 27th, 2014
January 3rd, 2015
January 10th, 2015

These programs include:

Transportation from/to the airport
Homestay for students in houses including breakfast, dinner and laundry.
Coordination meeting at the school to give them a brief introduction to our program.
Spanish classes at ILISA including the following courses:
- Spanish I (SPN 1010) 4 hrs of classes per day from Monday to Friday
- Spanish II (SPN 1020) 4 hrs of classes per day from Monday to Friday
- Spanish III (SPN 2010) 4 hrs of classes per day from Monday to Friday
- Spanish IV (SPN 2020) 4 hrs of classes per day from Monday to Friday
Internet lab, social areas, cafeteria
Farewell dinner at at typical Costa Rican/Panamanian restaurant.

Activities: 3 complementary activities will be included per week: dance classes, happy hour, indoor soccer matches, movie nigths , visits to central market or national teather, visits to musems and others depending on the country. Entrance fee for participants included.

Prices per student for 2014-2015:

Costa Rica

1 week: $ 725 (includes 1 one day trip to Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall gardens and coffee plantation)
2 weeks: $ 1330 (includes 1 one day trip to Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall gardens and coffee plantation + one weekend excursion to Arenal or a beach Resort)
3 weeks: $ 1900 (includes 2 one day trips plus one weekend excursion to Arenal or a beach Resort)
4 weeks: $ 2300 (includes 2 one day trips plus one weekend excursion to Arenal or a beach Resort)

Panamá

Panama 3 weeks $2200 per person

University Credits ILISA will be offering credits through Weber State University. In order to get credits for courses taken in Costa Rica (SPN 1010, SPN 1020, SPN 2010), you need to finish your courses at ILISA and pay WSU the cost of each credit unit. Getting There Students will be responsible for reserving and purchasing their international transportation to and from San Jose, Costa Rica or Panama City.

International Insurance: Students will be responsible for getting and purchasing their international insurance valid to use in Costa Rica.

Cancellation and Refund Policy A non refundable deposit of $ 400 is required by November 15th, 2014, balance can be paid once in Costa Rica or Panama.

Tours included for Costa Rica:

First weekend: Pacific Coast (Punta Leona Resort or similar) 2 days and 1 night including transportation, accomodation in double or triple rooms and breakfast.
Second weekend: Arenal Volcano or Rincon de la Vieja Volcano (3 days/ 2 nights) including: transportation, accomodation in double or triple rooms and breakfast.

Tours included for Panama:

Panama City Tour: visits to Casco Viejo, Panama Vieja and Panama Moderno or similar locations. The tour includes lunch, transportation and entrance fees.
Embera Village Tour (or similar location): full-day visit to one of the indigenous tribes in Panama or to a similar location. The tour includes lunch, a guide and transportation.
