Winter Program in Costa Rica

Program Overview:
Our winter program provides a well-rounded experience, including:
- Airport Pick-Up and Drop-Off: Convenient transportation to and from the airport for a smooth arrival and departure.
- Homestay Accommodation: Stay with a warm Costa Rican family, with breakfast, dinner, and weekly laundry service provided.
- Program Orientation: Get familiar with our program and surroundings on the first day or even before arrival.
- Spanish Classes at ILISA: Engage in immersive language learning with courses held Monday through Friday, three hours per day. Choose from:
- Spanish I (SPN 1120)
- Spanish II (SPN 1121)
- Spanish III (SPN 2200)
- Spanish IV (SPN 2201)
- Social Spaces: Relax and connect with others in our designated social areas.
- Farewell Dinner: The program culminates in a special farewell dinner at a typical Costa Rican restuaruant during the final week of the four weeks program.
- Weekly Activities: Each week includes 2 complimentary activities, such as dance classes, cooking lessons, indoor soccer, movie nights, happy hour, visits to museums and local markets and so much more. All entrance fees are covered, and an instructor accompanies students to each event.
- Tours included:
- Pacific Coast (Punta Leona Resort or similar): Enjoy a 2-day, 1-night stay at a beautiful Pacific Coast resort, including transportation, accommodation in double or triple rooms, and breakfast.
- Arenal Volcano: Experience a 2-day, 1-night trip to Arenal Volcano, with transportation, accommodation in double or triple rooms, and breakfast included.
Pricing per Student:
- 1 Week: $900
Includes a one-day excursion to Poás Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, and Doka Coffee Plantation - 2 Weeks: $1,645
Includes two one-day excursions - 3 Weeks: $2,250
Includes one one-day excursion and one 2-day/1-night excursion - 4 Weeks: $3,020

Special discounts are available for groups of two or more students wishing to participate in the program.

Getting There
Students are responsible for reserving and purchasing their international transportation to and from San José, Costa Rica.
International Insurance
Students must obtain their own international insurance that covers all necessary expenses.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
A non-refundable deposit of $600 is required upon enrollment, with the remaining balance payable upon arrival in Costa Rica.
