General infomation:
Students participating in ILISA’s Spanish courses may earn 3-12 undergraduate semester hours or 3-9 graduate semester hours in Spanish through an arrangement with the University of Southern Mississippi, a fully accredited US institution of higher learning. Credit is available at all levels, from beginning Spanish to upper-level courses. * For those students that attend schools on a 4-credit per hour system, we offer programs for 4 and 8 hours of credit(available only at the 100 and 200 levels for undergraduate).
Arranging Credit for Spanish Courses
It is preferred that students make all arrangements directly with USM prior to starting their study. If this is not possible, arrangements must be made no later than the first week of study in Costa Rica. Either before departure or immediately upon return, students must submit a transcript of their college work which reflects any prior Spanish study. Grades are posted at the end of December, May and August.
