The Central Market, established in 1880, is located in the heart of San José. Spanning a full block, it features over 200 shops and stalls, as well as typical restaurants known as sodas. Visitors can find a wide variety of fruits, fish, meats, vegetables, and coffee, along with other products such as cowboy saddles, snakeskin boots, flowers, souvenirs, and local handicrafts.
