Children’s Programs

For many years, we’ve received requests from students seeking programs for children. In response, we offer less-intensive programs for children aged 4 to 12. Based on our experience, we’ve found that 6 to 15 hours of lessons per week suits the needs and interests of our younger students. We have qualified teachers with years of experience in working with children, and we’ve developed a range of specialized teaching materials designed for younger learners.
Depending on age, our children’s programs combine educational field trips with classroom instruction, utilizing various visual and hands-on aids. This approach has proven to be both enjoyable and successful for all involved.
When forming groups, we consider age a key factor. For instance, the difference between an 8-year-old and a 13-year-old is significant, unlike the relatively small gap between adults. Therefore, we avoid grouping children with large age differences in the same class. The final class composition will be decided in consultation with ILISA’s teaching staff and the parents.
We also offer nanny services for families. For adult students taking 4 or 6 hours of classes daily while traveling with children, 5 or 8 hours of nanny service can be arranged. The nanny will care for the children (no housekeeping) and can take them on outings to parks, the zoo, and other activities (costs for outings are the parents’ responsibility). Most of our nannies speak only Spanish, but this has not been a problem, as children adapt quickly.
Please note that while we offer programs for children aged 4-12, we do not accept children under 12 who are traveling alone. Teenagers aged 13-18 wishing to attend without their parents or adult supervision must be sufficiently mature to manage on their own. While host families provide support and encouragement, all students, including teenagers, are responsible for their own decisions.
