My experience as an instructor who took seventeen students from the University of South Florida to ILISA was the best ever. ILISA not only takes their classes very seriously, but also takes time to help students on tours around the city and to make them comfortable in the new environment. The atmosphere at ILISA is laid back and fun. The instructors take their job seriously and classes take an intense pace once you get there. The host families are loving, caring and also help the students and instructors to feel even more at home. The view from the ‘soda’ (cafeteria) is breathtaking and it is simply a plus to be able to have our meals with such a view. Some of the classes are “outside” the building near the gardens, which make that place so much closer to paradise than an actual school, making learning a special treat. But don’t get fooled, you will walk a lot, and the altitude and hills will get to you if you are a “sea level” creature as I am; but if a few days your legs and attitude will get adapted and your system will get back to normal. I can’t thank ILISA people enough: Hellen, Marqueta, Denis, ‘profesores en general’, the girls serving at the cafeteria who were so patient with all of us, the receptionists who were extremely helpful, the cleaning girl who was always so polite in greeting me and chatting in the mornings, everybody! I know you worked hard to make things happen, and I appreciate your effort. Celia Paula Davies
