Secondly, the “Group Plus” program offered by ILISA is ideal, for it combines classic group teaching in the mornings and interactive one-on-one sessions in the afternoon. These sessions are customized daily by the teachers based on the gaps indentified in the morning.

Staff in general, from the receptionist to the teachers, is devoted to make sure that you have a rewarding experience in both Costa Rica and the school. They are available to provide information and organize trips often going the extra mile so you can make the most of your time in the country.

Perhaps the greatest feature of ILISA, after their exceptional teaching methods and staff, is their concept of host families. I remain grateful to the people I met during my time in ILISA. After years of stagnation at school, I managed to significantly improve my Spanish without feeling that I was at school, this is because at ILISA, you learn by immersing yourself in the very unique culture of Costa Rica
