ILISA Instituto de Idiomas in San Pedro is Costa Rica’s leading Spanish language school
(www.ilisa-cr.com). We target adult professionals, looking for intensive language training
to improve their effectiveness in the ever more bilingual workplace. Founded in 1987 we
are the only school in the Americas offering a Satisfaction Guarantee. We train approximately
750 students yearly for 1-12 week programs. One quarter of our students are from businesses
and 15% from governmental organizations. The remainder work in diverse fields such as
education, healthcare, law and social services.
Internet Marketing Strategy
For the last 5 years, internet marketing has been a key ingredient in ILISA’s growth and success.
Given increased competition and improved technologies, we recognize that our internet presence
must expand and the quality of our websites must constantly improve. As a part of that strategy,
we are currently seeking an experienced graphic designer with web and print experience. The
designer will develop new web sites, overhaul several existing website and design accompanying
We are looking for someone who is creative and innovative, who has an eye for detail and who
knows how to combine beauty with functionality. In addition, candidates should have a thorough
understanding of the internet as a publishing and marketing medium.
Applicants should be fluent in (D)HTML and have top-notch skills with Photoshop, Fireworks or
Imageready, Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Quark. Ideally, applicants would also be familiar with
Flash, Director, Premiere, Acrobat and Authorware or TrainerSoft or should be quick learners!
English skills are a plus.

While the salary is obviously not like in San Francisco, you will be able to live comfortably.
Starting salary will be $800-1000 a month + local medical insurance. We’ll help you equip your
apartment (expect to pay $ 300-400 a month for place that would cost you $ 1500 in SFco),
upon completion of a year of work, you’ll get a $ 1000 bonus + a round-trip ticket home. During the
first month, you’ll also receive 4 hours per day of Spanish language training, plus a homestay with
a local family.
