The Canal is operated 24/7

This container carrier is now entering the Pacific Ocean. A normal transit takes about 8-10 hours.

47% of the traffic is Panamax. That leaves about one foot (30 cm) on each side of these big boys.

The ‘Corte Culebra’ with the ‘Gaillaird’ cut (the hill) on the right side of the Canal. This cut took a lot of dynamite.
