I am extremely pleased with the program for therapists here at ILISA. My Spanish class did not include unnecessary grammar and DID incorporate relevant practice to my profession. Resources (professional) were excellent & useful. Teachers were attentive and willing to attend well to a topic that may not have necessarily been of any interest to them… Much work/thought was obviously put into this program. I felt it was WELL worth the cost and look forward to trying out my skills with my clients at home.

I chose to study Spanish at ILISA particularly because of its Spanish for Therapists program. I received a notice of this program in the mail at the school where I work. I would recommend the Spanish program to friends (of any profession). Learning Spanish with excellent teachers in such a small group has allowed me to recover the skills I learned years ago as well as to add to them. The program was well organized and in a beautiful setting. The director showed genuine interest in our needs and the office staff was “muy amable”! They were especially helpful in organizing trips! Thank you!

I really enjoyed my Spanish classes. The teachers were very helpful and attentive to my wants and needs. I would recommend ILISA to my friends.

I heard about ILISA’s program through OT Advance. I really wanted to go because I have developed a strong interest in learning Spanish for 5 years now. So, when I saw the article I thought it would be perfect because it focused on learning Spanish and focused on rehabilitation professionals and provided CEU credits which my employers supported. I planned this trip a year in advance. I’m so glad I came! The entire experience was wonderful as I begin to look back and hard work too!

The homestay is a vital part of the experience!

The opportunity to meet and interact with Costa Rican professionals (in my field and in related fields) was my prime reason for attending the “Multicultural Applications of Service Delivery” program at ILISA… The site visits were most beneficial to increasing my Spanish language comprehension because they afforded me frequent opportunities to hear Costa Rican professionals speak (in Spanish) about their work. At ILISA this year I received “una buena educación”! Gracias!
