I love ILISA!  I’ve been taking students to Costa Rica for seven years now and have used or visited many other language schools, and I can say without reservation that ILISA is the best equipped, best located, and best managed.  The building itself is beautifully modern with comfortable classrooms and an amazing view of San José and the mountains that surround it.  It’s in a nice neighborhood and has easy access to main bus routes and many stores and restaurants.  But the little restaurant IN the school serves snacks and a great Costa Rican lunch with drink for only $5.  Hellen and Julio and their helpful, flexible staff speak excellent English and do everything they can to make students feel welcomed and comfortable during their stay, both at the school and with the host families.  Students have been extremely happy with the ILISA families and their homes (and cooking!).
En fin, ILISA is THE place to study español in San José!
