I studied at ILISA for 3 months while in college and it was the best decision I ever made. The one-on-one lessons let me customize my education to things I wanted to learn. The professors at ILISA were phenomenally gifted and very patient. The other staff at ILISA helped coordinate weekend trips and even helped me with accommodations when my family came to visit. The home stay and being active in community improved my speaking and understanding skills immensely. Plus, the food was always amazing (Thank you Rosa)! I was even able to go to an authentic Costa Rican wedding. Regardless of your current Spanish level, ILISA will help you greatly improve your Spanish skills.

The benefits after learning Spanish at ILISA are numerous. In university, I was able to test into 400 level grammar and conversation classes. These skills also helped me obtain several job offers after I graduated with my bachelor’s degree. Being a Emergency Room nurse, I am able to communicate with my non-English speaking patients quickly. I am also able to volunteer at a local intermediate and elementary school and assist with their ESL students. I will ALWAYS cherish my time I spent in Costa Rica and cannot thank ILISA enough!
