I had the wonderful privilege of working with Edy Calore in my Spanish course at Ilisa. She was a brilliant teacher, sharp, funny, helpful, organized, and very kind.
Ms. Calore had well planned lessons which included basic , intermediate, and more advanced conversational Spanish , many interesting activities to help us communicate better with the other class members. She got to know all of us personally and found ways to integrate our interests, skills, jobs, and hobbies into her lessons. She even used movie clips and popular songs to emphasize the skills we were working on. She focused very intently on the specific language skills, such as preterite verb conjugations and use of the imperative mode, which increased our comprehension and use of crucial aspects of language acquisition. She gave us much insight, as well , into the culture and customs of Costa Rica.
She was an amazing teacher . When I return to Ilisa someday, I would be very honored to be her student again! Edy Calore is one of my favorite teachers of all time! Ilisa is so fortunate to have someone so hard working and dedicated.
