How to wire money to ILISA

If you do not have a checking account with a US-based bank or a credit card, you have four options to pay your deposit:

  • Wire your deposit to ILISA (see wire instructions below)

Send a cashiers' check drawn against a US account. Make sure it is made payable to "ILISA Instituto de Idiomas "
  • Get an international money order in US Dollars and mail it to:

Universal de Idiomas

PO Box 751-2150 Moravia
San Jose, Costa Rica

For reasons of safety and speediness, we recommend the wire transfer method. But the bank charges will be steep (count on $ 40 total for sender and receiver) so you want to transfer the total course fee in one time to save on charges.

Bank wire instructions (SWIFT system)
Give the information below to your bank and they will know what to do. An easy to print form can be found here. Make sure to let us know when you make a transfer, how much you transfer and the name of your bank. Or even better, scan the wire transfer draft you filled out at the bank and send it to us. In 90% of the cases money does not arrive, we find an error - many times made by the bank clerck - in the wire draft.
